Maui vacations take you to a beautiful location with many wildlife related activities.  Plan your Maui vacations with the information available right here

Maui vacations take you to the second largest of the Hawaiian islands.  Maui ranks third in population, following Oahu and Hawaii.  The largest town on the island has approximately 20,000 residents.  The nearby islands of Lanai, Molokai, Kahoolawe and the popular Molokini Crater are uninhabited or sparsely inhabited.  There is some wildlife on the island.  There are some species of birds, lizards and small mammals roaming about.  Most of the wildlife to be found on Maui vacations, though, is in the surrounding  Pacific ocean.

Whale watching is a popular attraction on Maui vacations.  The Pacific Humpback Whale is an impressive animal.  Every year they migrate from Alaska to Hawaii to mate and raise their calves.  They can be found in the Hawaiian waters from approximately December through March with the population peaking in February and March. Pictures can't truly capture the experience of seeing these massive animals surfacing near your ship.

Fishing is another popular activity and can be enjoyed on your Maui vacations regardless of season.  There are several species of sport fish here including marlin, tuna and mahi-mahi.  These are all excellent to eat and great fun to catch.  The marlin especially can get extremely large.  There are also bottom-fishing trips that are more suitable for the younger anglers on their Maui vacations.

Snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities are present on Maui and nearby islands such as Lanai and Molokini crater.  We have dedicated an entire page to Maui snorkeling due to the popularity and number of great locations available.

There are other activities on Maui vacations for the nature lover.  Makena Beach (commonly called Big Beach) is the largest undeveloped white sand beach on the island.  This is a very popular beach.  The water here is clear and blue and the beach seems to go on for miles.  If you decide to venture beyond the lava outcrop to the north, you may see some nature of another kind (Little Beach, to the north is the island's unofficial "clothing optional" beach).

The "Road to Hana" is a must for newcomers on Maui vacations.  The Hana trip can be simultaneously nerve-rattling and breath-taking.  This narrow windy road meanders along the coast.  Many of the views, waterfalls and overlooks along the way look almost too beautiful to be real.  Eventually you arrive at the Seven Sacred Pools with its lovely ponds and waterfalls.

Many cruises and ferries originate in the quaint town of Lahaina.  Lahaina has a variety of restaurants, art galleries and shopping areas.  Vendors here offer everything from pictures with parrots to hand carved Tikis.  Lahaina is also home to a Banyan Tree that provides shade for an entire block. There are glass bottom boat rides, Kayaking, Helicopter tours and other activities to be enjoyed on Maui vacations. Or, if you are looking for something more relaxing, there are Luaus, sunset cruises, and golfing.

The Maui Ocean Center is a great place to visit on Maui vacations.
They have all kinds of marine wildlife from starfish to sharks.  The large aquariums let you get a closer look than you may be able to while snorkeling or scuba diving.

Your Maui vacations can be as invigorating or relaxing as you like.  You can go fishing, kayaking, and whale watching.  You could also attend a Luau, go golfing, or just lie under a Banyan tree and watch people carve Tikis.  Whatever you chose, we hope your Maui vacations are marvelous.
